Europe Rows for an Education is an EU-funded project aimed at promoting equal opportunities for vulnerable youth through rowing, academic support, and volunteering.
The project unites rowing clubs and community partners across Europe to offer
scholarships, mentorship, and training to youth aged 12–18 from socio-economically
disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Rowathon a virtual event in which rowers from the European rowing clubs engaged in the project may participate, regardless of their rowing experience. It’s all about rowing together towards the same goal!
From 16 to 22 June 2025, participants will row freely at their club or sports facilities, or on their own ergometers and submit their results online.
Rowers may row as many times as they wish throughout the week, on the water and on an ergometer, to row the greatest distance possible.
The results will be accumulated throughout the week and the winners will be those who have rowed the most metres.
Anyone of any age, gender and condition who rows on the water or on an indoor rowing machine may sign up for the rowathon.
